I ordered a chip chart, but it's no better than looking at the damn monitor. I've used their paint before with no issues; just trying to get a feel for what this shade of blue looks like. Thanks!
You'll never really know until you shoot some of it. I was looking for the right shade of green. I went by the chip chart and ordered a quart but what came out of the gun was pretty different from the chip. If I think something might be close to what I'm looking for, I usually just order a quart and try it out. I did this with the green. I ordered 3 quarts of various greens until I got the exact shade I was looking for. Then I ordered a gallon from them. I was pleased to find that the gallon was an EXACT match to the quart I ordered previously. Just as it should be.
You really have to shoot some of their paint to see the true colour. I shot Flatz p***ion purple pearl and their colour chart was not even close,,,the colour i got was much lighter shade of purple. I thought it may change as it dried but noooo,, figured WTF,,it'll grow on me...the darker flatz midnight purple pearl on the fenders was bang on!
Hey guys. Would you folks happen to be able to point me in the right direction for a reputable paint supplier that knows what they are doing. I am looking for either my cars original color of Starlight Blue in a metallic or a Baltic Blue metallic. Any help is greatly appreciated. Adam
Yep , or if you are standing in front of it and the guys says it this and that or the other thing. It's not cheap or easy to get the exact shade of a color that you want.
