Does anyone make a tube axle specifically designed to mount the Chevy Advanced Design truck spindle?

I was given a complete front suspension out of an Advance Design truck. It's a pretty cool setup as it has the disk brake conversion on it and brand new king pins. The only problem is that it's too wide for my application. I will not cut and reweld a cast axle. I called Speedway and their tech guy agreed with me that their tube axle set up for the Chevrolet p***enger car which has a different caster built into it than the truck does- so the spindles would fit but they'd have some pretty serious caster (at least 3°) compared to the car spindle.

So does anyone know of an OTC tube axle made to fit the chev AD spindle, or anyone who is competent enough to fab one?

check out the t-bucket builders guides. they have a section on how to build your own axle. just adjust the degree, length and bore diameter of the spindle boss to accomodate the AD spindle. MAS probably had an axle, but they are long out of business.

The Chevy pickup axle is NOT cast. All automotive beam axles were forged.Cut away!

my thougt exactly - there is a thread on here about a guy cutting and welding an f100 axle - i believe it was for a 55 chevy - just 'step' the cut to give you more surface area to weld

I am a certified welder, that's why I'm not going to do it.

Again- does anyone know of any source for a tube axle that has camber built into it for Advanced truck spindles?

Speedway sells the disc brake kit for that spindle, maybe contact them and see if they have an axle to accept the truck spindle ?

I gave Ron a shout yesterday- yep, he said he's got a jig set up for using the Advance Design truck spindles that takes into account the difference in the camber built into the AD truck spindles and he knew exactly what I was talking about. I pulled a tape on the inside face to face on the wheels where I wanted them and he took down the numbers and said he'd have it whupped out in no time, all for the same $150 bones. That's $120 less than Speedway and they're built in Tennessee, not hecho en China. He even sat on the computer for a while doing what he could for shipping

    Thanks for the hookup!

I had Ron build the custom gas tank in my Henry J, he made it right to my specs in every way.

Do a stepped joint - preheat and weld it ….. Its been done forever
    Or
Change the camber / inclination angle of the new axle ….. Its easy / I do it almost everyday

Not a problem, I have bought from him a few times and have been a very happy customer. He always goes out of his way to make folks happy.
