My dual MC arrived today. Looks way better than my original single bowl unit, but one thing i didn't think about was the brake light switch. On the single unit the switch is engaged by the hydraulics but the new MC doesn't have this. I guess i need to fit an electrical switch down by the pedal or in the linkage somewhere so before i start cutting and welding, does anyone have the best solution for this or will a later 65> switch do the trick ? Would be interested to see what others have done to get around this. cheers
I use the Delco lever switch that was used on mid fifties GMs, Cushmans and lots of things. It comes in left or right and is a good switch. The lever can be bent, shortened, drilled tapped, It can fit any application. Some hydraulic switches do not work will silicone brake fluid but this will! Remember it comes in left or right http://www.softcom.net/users/acnss/image/BrakeSwitchLeverLH.jpg http://www.ebay.com/itm/1955-1957-P...Parts_Accessories&hash=item257b9b6d58&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lever-Type-...Parts_Accessories&hash=item4aaaff2e0f&vxp=mtr

I did something similar on my '64. I had to drill a hole in the pedal arm so I could rivet a stop bracket fot the switch plunger to push against. Bob
