Still not quite sure how this forum works. I just put in a message at the introduction thread. Hopefully, I am not doubling up on posting... Anyway, a few nights ago, I was driving home when I lost all control of my steering. Fortunately it happened AFTER I just rounded a 90 degree curve at 55mph. I coasted off the exit safely and got towed home... What happened is that the shaft on the control valve (originally power steering- but dismantled it) snapped in half between the ball joint on the pitman arm and the center arm. I am trying to find a replacement. I have found a drag link repair kit that is supposed to work, BUT I can't find the adjusting sleeve that actually holds all of the parts. Any advice out there?... Thanks.
Depending on the model it should be the same as a Ford or mercury,if you are not planning on making the power steering work find manual steering parts.
Look up Antique Auto Supply in Arlington, Texas. He has a boat load of Edsel parts including body and trim as well.
