Art & Inspiration Sundays model cars 3/17/13.

  1. Stickies need to be pasted by Ryan or a monitor. They can take a day after the request and they are probably still sleeping early Sunday morning.

Not to be a smartass, but then how do they get the FAS sticky there every Friday?

  9. I am not sure. Does one of the monitors start the tread? I have never clicked on the FAS tread and I do not know what it stands for. I sure do not know all the answers and my reply and comments were just a suggestion.

I will survive without a sticky or click able link.

Koolsville! I've got a Resin chopped '36 3 window, and I'd like to get one of the slantbacks as well. That roadster sure is turning out nice, Froghawk!

  11. Clayton,

Looks like he's got some talent, and great to see you two investing in your relationship!

Now... how did he make his car stick to the ceiling :D???

Pure talent :D. I'm not sure what was going on.....posted those pics 5 different times and it would only do so upside down

Building model kits was something my Dad got me into and loved as a boy (still do) and now he has something he enjoys.

Andrew got 3rd place for his '51 this year...

  19. The Monogram Duesenberg Town Car was one of my father/son projects when I was little!

We'd always take a model on vacation with us and build it over the week- GREAT memories!!!

I loved those Monogram Duesenberg and Rolls-Royce kits. They were always so nicely detailed and perfectly to scale. I built the Murphy roadster years ago. Andrew mentioned to me as we were walking away from the awards ceremony that he wanted to build something to take Best of Show with "something cool, like a Duesenberg". As we walked past a vendor booth of model kits and there on the bottom shelf was that Duesy...with a $10 price tag :D

I also have a couple of the Jo-han '31 Cadillacs (my favorite kits of all time) and a big 1/16th scale Phantom II Rolls-Royce we could build as well. We'll see :)
