We seen the owners of these cars Saturday night and they will be running again this year along with about 10 others in their club. These cars run hard and put on a good show.

Yeah , them guys.:D and no one is left out at the meltdown. If your car doesn't meet the criteria you can still be in the car show. Maybe you haven't finished your drag car , but you have an old muscle car or street rod as long as its 1972 and older you can show it in the car show. Maybe you don't have a car come and watch and walk through the pits and swap and enjoy the show. I gaurantee this event is the best vintage show you've ever been to.

We were delighted to have the Nostalgia Gasser Racing Association attend our 3rd Meltdown Drags, and are looking forward to seeing them back again this July! Looks like Great Lakes Gassers want revenge:D

  18. Well said II FUNNY!

Best part is that there is NO additional cost to enter the Car Show or to sell your vintage car stuff at the Swap Meet.

Drive a '72 or earlier show car in, pay the same spectator admission as the others, and you get rock star parking for free!

will there be anyone making (semi)-professional DVDs of this event?
I know some of these cars are in enclosed trailers. But a video recorder
mounted atop the tickect shack were everyone enters would be a good shot.
Then it could be veiwed in fast forward like a time laps event video with the rest of the race.... just a thought....and yes I have been told I should keep them to myself sometimes. :)
