They did a good job on the video but it's obvious the white chevelle at the first was not with our group he's a local bracket racer that got in the video by accident. We are really looking forward to being there in July.

 

This will be my first year attending. Are there any pre-meldown events scheduled for Friday, such as a cruise in Bryon???

 

Yes. There is a local drive in in downtown Byron and a participant bench race hangout at the track Friday night.

I forgot to add that there is a cruise Saturday night as well, so stick around and meet all the drivers and look at all the cool cars.

Any idea if Ron Bloomquist will be there with "The Phantom"?

 

Friday is also a EVENT PARTICIPANT EXCLUSIVE.....so if you are racing, or have a car show car...you can come in for a meet and greet, hang out pre-event car show with race cars and hot rods......NO SPECTATORS...then cruise over to Sam's for a period dinning experience.

The Phantom...not yet.....get a hold of him and direct him our way....pics required let him know to pre-register...etc.

 

Can swapmeet vendors set up on Friday??

We had a great time last year and sold a bunch of parts & found some great deals

Someone NEEEEDS to call the people who own and drive the "Blew by you" car and REQUIRE them to be there again this year, that car is a "monster" a "beast" what else you got!

I'm gonna bring it if I can grab a trailer. Looking forward to going!

 

I believe Swap Meet vendors will be able to get in on Friday and pick a choice spot....and setup...

Make sure if you are a PROFESSIONAL VENDOR you contact us PRIOR to showing up....

 

Just looked at 3 new pre-registrations of 2 fiat's and a FED that would be new attendee's......WOW is all I can say...more very FAST & WILD stuff to be at the Meltdown!!!!

 

So... for year 2... the belly button car was a 55 chevy. Last year it was a Willys gasser. This year it might be Fiat altereds ??

Suddenly the Fiat give-away makes a lot of sense.

Can't wait for a half dozen International Harvester based vintage machines to show up... Maybe year 12... Wouldn't that be a different show ??

As far as camping at the track rules go is a campfire allowed or do I need to bring my grill if I want to cook? I was going to ask about the cruise but I have no working headlights, license plates or exhaust outside of my headers. Thanks, Bill

In previous years as long as NO ONE does any street racing or burn outs which will obviously hurt the track owner......they PD has allowed open header cars to cruise to the drive-in. Again, we all know if you want to race the track is the place....the PD has been 100% co-operative in the past we want to keep it that way!
Spread the word....

 

Anyone considered a 5 amber tree? I know there still has to be some of them laying around. Maybe there is time to make one?

Im getting so pumped for this ! Hoping to be at the track in the next few weeks dialing the car in!

 

I'll give Ron a call he might go with us we have his automatic car grandfathered in with our group. He has another Henry J with a 4 speed but he never brings it.

 

Awesome....can you post a pic of his car....I am not sure I cam recalling this car...may jog my memory...
