Just checking...I know Hot Rod magazine did a piece on a Chevy II they altered the wheelbase on. It's sorta goofy looking, but not any worse than chopping a Model A 8" and channeling it another 6"...

Let's see anyone who's done it.

In the process of building 3 altered wheebase cars here now. Racing in NMCA/Pro Edelbrock series and our own Texas Outsiders series in Nostalgia Super Stock. Cl*** designations range from 13.50 to 10.00 in NSS, but 9.75/9.50 and 9.25 is A/B/C FX.....

Along with my 65 , 427 injected on alky, Jerico/Boninfante/TexasThunder clutched Comet, we are constructing a couple of 65 Dodges for customers from Missouri. We just installed the injectors on one customer's existing 63 Dodge for shakedown p***es and the results were 9.48@141 with trans problems...the "new" car will weigh 300 pounds less....can anyone say low 9s?

Pulling the 474 out of our 63 Galaxie that ran a best of 9.63@140.31 with over 3350 pounds and weaning it off gasoline, adding injectors and alky and tossing it into the Comet. Expecting the Comet to weigh in at around 2700 with driver, altered 8 in the front/12 in the rear.....both Dodges are altered 10 in front and the normal 15 in the rear. All are scheduled to debut in the spring of 06.

    Hmmm.....

There is no deniability in the cool factor. Wonder how well it actually affects weight transfer along with the set back engine.
