Car Club Plaque Photos?

My buddy's Dads club from back in the day. We found the plaque and revived the club!

Heres a picture of a club my cousin started in Yonkers in 1961 or 62.He found a photo of the plaque & thanks to Dennis O'Brien( The Plaque king) I had 2 made & in my hands within 3 weeks!! We were so happy to get them.His is in his "home office" next to his Vietnam metals from the Marine corp & mine is hanging on the back of my T

Bill, my niece is studying languages in college and I sent her this picture and here's what she replied:

 Hi Uncle Dennis!

I can say with certainty that that is not an Arabic word. I even went as far as asking my Arabic professor to make sure I didn't give you false information.

Hopefully someone in that area will remember this club. Or maybe it wasn't a car club at all. More like some kind of secret society.

WOW! I just realized that another year has passed and it will be 5 years ago tomorrow that I started this thread. At that time I said we had "almost" 4,000 photos on our site. As of today, we have 7,302 different plaques featured on our website, and I'm still looking to add more.

Over 400 different plaque photos have been posted to this thread in the 5 years since I started it and it has had 155,371 views.

It is very likely it stands for "Pharaohs" in who knows what ling-go? or even "Nomads",really dout it would be camels, but the magic like "Magic Carpits" could be far out guess too. With out hearing from someone that really knows,the limits of the art work that come to mind..

I recently contacted Dennis from Obrien Truckers about a car club that existed in my home town. The name of the club was the KAM KINGS from Kings Park, L.I. New York.It existed in the late 50;s through the early 60's.I was a few years to young to belong to it at the time but it always stuck in my mind and sure enough they had the mold. Dennis said the original plaque was made from linoleum.He did a great job and was a pleasure to deal with.

Here is the Road Sirs plaque on the back of my roadster. It is copy of my dad's original from 1958. Steve Hendrickson helped me get them reproduced. I also have a t shirt of dad's some where with the original logo.

As for the Pace Makers Brooklyn I can tell you that their plaques were made by were made by Speed Gems and it's one of 56 different Brooklyn plaques I have the patterns for that were all made back in the 1950/60's (including at least one from Brooklyn Ohio (I had to look it up - it's in northern Ohio SW of Cleveland).)
