    My god... What a week...

BUT, the site is clean... and the database was not touched. NO user information was left unprotected.

We are now getting ready to step up our game and our budget for some serious security protocols. Wish me luck.

Couple thoughts, Ryan ... At least two cyber "security" outfits, Symantec and Kaspersky, are involved in racing via sponsorships. Cali-based Symantec has sponsored Indy Cars and F1 cars on various levels, and Kaspersky (a Russian firm) is a Ferrari F1 sponsor. Sure, the HAMB is not technically a "racing" site, but perhaps a well-placed email to the right folks at those firms might result in dialogue that gets you, as steward of a balls-deep automotive site, a bit more personal attention than the average office-based customer.

Might be worth a try ...

Eh, a lot of the "oldies" probably don't either.

But to be completely honest most of the time I pretty well take it for granted that I can hit the bookmark or type in the URL and the site, the forum and all of it's archives will be here.

We've had a lot of challenges through the years, but this was by far the most miserable. And it's made me more paranoid than a whore in church... I keep hitting jalopyjournal.com while I squint my eyes and hope... pray... that my alarm doesn't go off signifying another hack.

I'm a beastly sight at the moment... and that bottle of Tequilla sitting at home doesn't stand a chance once I finally get there.

  9. Enjoy...and happy Easter to you & yours!

  10. FYI: Guys, you may still get an alert from your antivirus software...clear your browser's cache, cookies, and history and it'll be gone.

Your dedication is really appreciated even though it goes with the territory. One of the things that the new guys can never understand is what you've gone through to make this site what it is. Hell, a lot of us older members haven't got a clue either but after being here as long as I have I know it hasn't been a "walk in the park". THANK YOU!!!!

Btw, if you are still seeing suspicious activity (by this, I mean malware warnings - not my shitty writing) on the homepage, clear your cache and you should be good to go.

Just another one of the downfalls of how popular this site has become! How many users does this site attract everyday....probably as much or more than the most popular porn or sports websites out there. No wonder why it has become a target!!
