1933 chevy

how do you remove exterior door handles from 33 chevy, going to try to reuse so didnt want to get to rough with them

 

They are removed from the inside at the latch, the best I remember.

 

you need to open the door and look at the latch, near the striker bolt, out near the inside edge, there is a small hole. if you look in the hole and turn the handle slightly, you will see a set screw with a slot for a small screwdriver. loosen it and the handle will pull out.

it was in the Time life books series; "how to take things apart" unfortunately i never ordered the series "how to bolt things back together" i do have "how to glue things back together" and "duck tape; it's not for ducks"

That little screw actually goes all the way through the handle and they can be bought from I and I in Calif.
