Mike;that looks good, brings the shifter back closer to the driver.I've always felt the stock shifter location was too far forward! ROY.

Not too many things on this car have gone together the way they were supposed to.. It seems everything is a fight or has to be custom made, fabricated or bent.. But tonight I got the throttle cable on as easy as could be... Everything line up and fit even to the clevis end on my 58 thunderbird gas pedal assembly.. To the stock falcon pedal ... I found a radiator shroud mounting bracket for a 65 mustang, with a little bending, was the perfect bracket to hold the cable in the engine compartment.. It was kinda weird , not to be cursing at the car! I also tried to discretely mount a shift light on my tach... No more 7500-8000 shifts hopefully, need to make this thing last a lil bit!

Got the cobra duel water neck all fitted with hoses today.. Just need to drill/tap a boss on it for my temp sending unit. I have the tap, but it calls for a 37/64 drill bit that I can't find anywhere, anyone got one I could borrow? The wait for the surge tank continues! Thanks for the encouragement Al. That red shift light is blinding! I need to cover up 75% of it with black tape or something

You just need one of those Auto-Meter shift light covers, they slip on and off easily and still allow plenty of light to show through at night without blinding you.

The early '60's Ford and Mercury uni-body cars are great looking as drag cars!

Slow but sure Mike, found a block and pistons to make a 468 that was in my price range but I'm still more than a yr. out and no chance of the lottery
(don't buy tickets....LOL), I need all you internet buddies to keep your stuff going so I have reading material and light flickering at end of tunnel.....Al

Mike- sorry to be a bit late on taking a look at your install. It looks freakin unreal!! So cool.

Who is supplying your surge tank. We were down in the shop at Mooneyes today, and I coulda helped myself (doh!!!) to a multitude of sinful looking parts! Not that I would, I love those guys down there!

Al! Go buy a small block to get it running then work on that 468! U will save weight, money and start having fun now! Thanks Dale that means a lot coming from a master fabricator and builder like yourself! I got my tank through coyote gear .com .. Just got an update, it will be here on Wednesday... I wanted a Moon tank but for th price and the coyote tank already having all the fittings custom welded on and pressure tested, it just didn't make sense. If Roy gets his truck fixed and I get my car fired maybe we can make it to Bakersfield in a week and a half!

Thanks for thoughts but I'll pass, just driving it don't mean that much, having it done is the goal. If I was young maybe, but to old to do things twice, don't end up being twice as much fun. I actually have a 438 rotating assembly for sm.blk in closet just waiting for a day when right parts come along to finish or someone wants it and I give in to part with it. Its the last of a Mustang I once had.....Al
