I've seen some places with cars just sitting there and sitting there and one day a big truck comes in and s****s everything :-( some folks should go into the business of cleaning these places out and get a ***le and sell anything that was built before 1980. Usually when that happens. It's because the old guy died. And who ever got the cars would rather deal with one guy. And not have to spend the time selling them individually. It's sad but it happens all the time.
Yes. I think a lot of old guys think their stuff is worth just as much as it was once upon a time. They don't want to drop the price so they never sell anything, then die and the stuff goes to s**** at 9 cents a pound. Some old men can be really stubborn :-( Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
I don't think most care about what it's worth. I have learned that a lot can be baught. Most people just get tired of people blowing smoke up their ***. They say they want a car and never come back. When asking to buy a car have cash in hand. There are still a ton of cars out there. They are not as rare as the restorers say they are.
A bit off topic but, where is the best place to buy inexpensive original type replacement 21" Model A tires? I wish to buy some for a friends "A". The least expensive ones I can find are about $100. Are there any our there for less? thanks in advance.
I have three and my avatar I built in the 90's is still out there somewhere, and rebuilt a 30 coupe for a friends 89 year old dad last year.
Heres my 31 Sedan that'll never be chopped as long as I own it. My 30 Coupe... unchopped... waiting its turn And I still have a 30 Roadster, 31 Pickup and 29 2Door that are all unchopped.
I have a 29 Special Coupe that is unchopped. I know of a 29 & a 30 coupe, two 29 pickups, a 29 tudor sedan, two 31 tudor sedans, & a 29 4 door sedan that are all unchopped. Now, if I had the money to buy them all I'd be a very happy man!
Beautiful coupe! I like the stance & choice of wheels. Most shy away from the wide-5 stuff! Nicely done, sir!
here's mine, just getting it together and working right. i won't be chopping it, it's hard enough seeing when a light turns green as it is at its full height. it sure is fun too!
