The Chattanooga Cruise In at Coker Tire and Honest Charley Speed Shop is less than a month away, so I figured I would make sure everyone knew about it. The date is April 6th, and the event will be held from 2-8pm Eastern time. It has grown considerably and I hope it continues to get bigger! Coker Tire, Honest Charley Speed Shop and Honest Charley Garage will have an open house, and there will be live music by "The Other Guys", as well as several awesome food vendors (in addition to the two restaurants on the corners). Car clubs are welcome, but we can't guarantee group parking unless you contact us ahead of time. As always, we'll have a big prize give-away, and our special event T-shirts for $10. For those traveling from afar, there are several hotels nearby (across the street, actually). LOTS of good food options, and even more so if you venture out into other areas of Chattanooga. And if anyone has a drag car or something that requires a trailer, we do have an area for trailer parking a couple blocks away. Also, check out the new website for the event at www.chattanoogacruisein.com. Here's our flyer:
Wow what an awesome coupe on the flyer. Hey wait that's my car. Thanks for using this on your Spring Cruise in flyer. Had a great time last year at the fall event. Hope to return for this one.
That is an awesome coupe! We hope to have you back again...thanks for making the trip last time around!
Unfortunately, we do not have a swap meet area for this event. It's something we've considered, but there just isn't enough room at the moment. If we can work it out to shut down a few more streets, we might have the necessary space for future events.
Just a couple weeks away...hope to see some of you guys there! April 6th, downtown Chattanooga, TN, rain or shine!
Yeah man, bring as many as you can! This event is growing into a huge destination for traditional hot rods! We've had some awesome cars come out so I'm sure you guys will enjoy it!
Weather report says a high of 70 degrees, and a ZERO percent chance of rain for the Chattanooga Cruise In. Who's coming?
Well we wanted to take the "ragged wagon" down ther but it is not going to happen. I guess i will have to just come and walk around
now excepting gas cards so the Joker can make the 9 hour drive up from melbourne fl. IM me for donation instructions lol
Hey TLB just got word that my truck will be featured in the up coming issue of rod & custom thanks I really appreciate all you have done for me.wanting to try and come saturday with the 32 truck and a 28 roadster I been working on you did mention some parking for trailers what would be the best time to be there .
I'll be there, there is also another car show on the same day on hwy 58..at the central high school...hopefully make both shows.
Hey Darryl, looking forward to having you up here. We do have room for trailer parking across the street at the football stadium. It's first come, first serve, and we also use it for spectator parking so you may want to roll in here a little early, let's say around noon (Eastern time).
The Coker showroom will be open all day, but the entire facility will not be open until the event officially begins at 2pm (Eastern). The tours are unguided, so you're free to roam around.
One last question is there anything to do close by for the early arrivers car related prior to the official start time of 2pm EST? I have been to the International Tow Museum. Im not sure where Newstalgia (sp) is in relation to Coker. I might be arriving like 10:30 EST. Just wondering. Thanks
Newstalgia is sort of on the other side of town, and I'm not sure that their showroom is open on Saturdays. Not sure of anything else automotive related, but there is all sorts of cool stuff in Chattanooga. The Coker showroom will be open all day (Museum opens at 2), so if you decide to park here early, you'll have access to restrooms and all that.
If any of you guys from the Nashville area wanna convoy down som of us are planning on meeting at Love's truck stop off I-24, exit 89 @ 10:00 a.m. That should put us there at roughly 1:00 p.m. Chattanooga (EST) time. PM me for my cel number if you need it. BTW if you've never been to Honest Charley's / Coker tire you're in for a treat.
BA look for the 55 F100. Hey bring me a good drivers door for a 56 Ford Truck from Bama!! Travel safe my friend.
