Around two months ago I took a sabbatical from the 47 Chevy. It was a combination of a prolonged fight with it to get the blasted transmission linkage working, general fighting with every goddam nut and bolt, the crazy old lady across the alley threatening to call the police if she saw me taking it out of the driveway again, and the impending need for some high dollar parts. So, I just walked away, let life run it's course for a little while and began work on a new project for my gf (non HAMB friendly, so this is the first and last mention of that). Merle the 47 was very disapproving of me working on another car during that time. I got back yesterday from the Lonestar Roundup, threw the battery charger on Merle and am now set on a mission to have him at next year's Roundup. He won't be "finished" but he will be drivable. Sometimes a guy just needs a break and then be thrown into something like the Roundup to get his juices flowing again!
It happens to a lot of guys,,then you go somewhere and see hundreds of cars and battery's get recharged and your off and running,,glad the bug bit again. HRP
yep, a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step....keep on keeping on!! it's the only way we ever get them finished.
