Accidental photo of a man falling to his death from a passenger plane
In 1970, Keith Sapsford, a 14-year-old boy, died after falling from the wheel-well of a Tokyo-bound Japan Air Lines DC-8 taking off from the Kingsford Smith Airport at Sydney, Australia.

"Buzznut" posted this pic of this
    '30's-something' 'Art Deco-styled
    streamlined truck in post number
374, over on the "Hamb Friendly
    Motorhomes?
    " thread.

There's no information on the truck
and no one over there seems to know
what it is either. Does anybody here
know what it is? From the licence
    plate, I'm guessing that it's a British
or Aussie machine.Whatever it is, I
think it's outrageously cool! I love
it I want one....damn it, no, make
    that I NEED ONE...I ABSOLUTELY
    MUST HAVE ONE!!!:eek::D

What you need is right on the tail guys.

First two numbers: 44 aka 1944

The rest: the 4450th aircraft authorized for purchase that year by the War Department

The P-75 Eagle broke in a lot of new technology which in wartime couldn't be tolerated because it took away resources for combat aircraft currently in production. They tucked it away too fool with it after the war, but the jet made all that moot and they scrapped it.

Great shot of Tucker #1001. Sort of errie that this photo was posted here yesterday (4/7) at just about the same time as the cars current owner, Dave Cammack, passed away.

Not being funny, guys, but looking at people about to die isn't what I want to see.
