Finally got myself in the right place at the right time for once and scored me an original '32 chassis. Got the frame, original front and rear axles, '48 front and rear axles, springs, two sets of wheels, tires, Model A front crosmember, a set of new hubcaps, etc. I wasn't really lookin' for one, but this one found me.

Looks to me like there is some street rodder that deserves a swift kick in the nuts since that looks like is was pulled right out from under a car

The chassis came out from und a well known hot rod that you all would recognize. The builder thought it was too nice to modify and indeed it is. This is the best frame I've ever seen for sale. I don't really have any plans for it, but it was too good to pass up.

I read the title and expected it to be rusted out hay trailer, not so, that has lived inside most of its life. Great score!

Well, let me expound on that a little. The car is well known and has been in numerous magazines (it even had a write up in Rodder's Journal if I'm not mistaken) but, I wouldn't consider it to be famous. That being said, I'm not saying until I verify it.

I've had several PMs about it. Not sure what I'm gonna do with it yet. The only body I've got for it is a truck body and I dont think that would do it justice.

In this pic are the other set of wheels 16x4, boxing plates, '32 axle, wishbone, spindles (in box), etc.

Uncut original K member. A few of the rivets have been smoothed on the outside of the frame, but other than that it's perfect.

  25. Dennis, I'll tell you what I was told at the Roundup last weekend....The rule--hardcore 32 guys NEVER sell 32 parts . That's the rule.
    Are you hardcore? :D

Looked the frame over good and this is the only thing I've found wrong. The front crossmember looks like it's been taken out and moved back. It's been bolted in with allen panhead bolts. Rivet holes have not been filled in and it would be an easy fix. Most of us would put a Model A in anyway which happened to be included in the deal.

Anybody know why the crossmember has been moved back like that? I figured it was to run spring behind the axle???

If that was mine I would hang on to it and look for a good 32 coupe body. Too good to let go!
