Projects 338ci Y-Block Wrapped Up in '30 Model A Tudor

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by mctim64, Feb 2, 2012.

  1. The body is home and ready to go to work on. It was late when I got it off the trailer. :p:rolleyes: The frame is getting painted and will be going together soon. Exciting times!

  2. Sorta like the Edelbrock Rat Roaster for the 426 Hemi - put a pop off valve on it - big big plenum can go boom really easily!

    Love that floor!

Thanks again for sharing your build.

(just might have to try that floor in my rebuild)

  7. Gizmoe has found a new home. He doesn't even want to come in the house anymore.

Tim, I wish I could be driving my '41 "A" with the complete Marine Y-Block in it. No one here wants to do the final work it needs. Guess I am a pariah now. Just like I don't exist.

  12. But Dave you do exist! I'm sure there is someone out there that can do the work for you.

  13. Good advice! I do have a "blow-out" plate for it but a valve would be better. ;)

  16. Stripped down the engine and gave it a "Good" paint job today. Also painted the Flatty that will go into the T that is the next project. Antique Ford Green is the color for the day. I think it will look good aginst the green of the body.

Pure 'Eye Candy'. I am not sure you really need either the Tudor or the T. Ha ha.

  23. No pictures to post yet but the ch***is is being painted and I just talked with Caps in Fresno, the "Rams Horns" will be getting a gloss black ceramic coating. Should look very nice!

Somewhat like these Jaguar manifolds. Always liked that look.

nice Tim, the green and the black will look sweet

  25. Always dug the old porcelinized exhausts. Black will look great!

  26. Tony (Typo41) and Chick (1953girlracer) Huntimer came by the house to drop an engine off, we hung out in the Model A for a bit. Why finish the car? It makes a fine "Davenport". :p:D
