Man this Swirl finish is spreading on the car:D,, Wanted to redo the side panels under the motor so I swirled the finish on them also, also mounted the chute on the fiat body, A buddy of mine laughed when I told him I was putting a chute on the car, He says why do you need a chute ? are you planning to toss this thing out of a plane,, Told him I might need some shade in the pits someday:rolleyes: Besides this is my go out and have a good time car, all it has to do is look good and be fun to drive, (for now), I'll worry about going fast with the other motor I'm building for it,,, Tim Jones

Decided to swirl finish the entire sides of the dragster body, left the top of the cowl brushed finish for some lettering that will go there, also taking the body off to get it ready to paint, Plus ordered the parts for the rearend I still needed to get , Got them from ROOMAN on here , he's a dealer for strange eng, Gave me a good price, plus it was good to BS about the old days working on the fuel cars, even tho we'd only met a couple times back then We still remembered the same stories from the 80's and 90's,, Here's a few pics,, plus my new shop helpers:D,, then back out to the shop, Tim Jones

I buildt a roll around frame for the body to sit on, then started to take the body off the car, When you live by yourself you quickly learn your favorite tool in the shop ( aside from a hammer of course) is the ele winch mounted in the ceiling, Hooked onto the fire wall unhooked the back, pushed the dragster ahead , lowered it onto the cart ,and After I make four body stands so it's mounted on the cart securely it will be ready to prep for paint, Tim Jones

This was waiting for me when I got home from work Monday, Thanks to ROOMAN , that was fast shipping, I forgot just how light these Alum carriers are, now just have to figure up what Gear ratio I want to go with, Also the guy that was machineing the blower crank hub, got too busy so Garrett Day our welder is finishing it up, and have the nozzle bodys for the port nozzles on the manifold coming,,,Things are rolling along again,, Tim Jones

Been busy sanding away on the body, Note to self DON'T drag the body across the yard because your to lazy to carry it:eek:, You might want to paint it someday:confused: , now that I've repaired all the extra work I made for myself on the roof , I can work on the wheel opening:D, Tim Jones

Today my buddy Brian Chollett lettered the cowl for the Comp Coupe, Guy makes it look easy,( He started doing this in the 70's) here's a link to more pics from today, http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=794166 , then after work another friend I work with Henry Morris drilled the holes for the port lines on the blower intake,, not sure if I'll need to use them ,but they are there if I'm having trouble with fuel getting to all the right places,,, Tim Jones

Thanks Buddy, My friend Jim Coleman (Art on Wheels) is coming out sunday afternoon to paint the body , then Brian Chollett is going to try to get it lettered next week, Jim Painted all my old race cars (thirty years ago) Seems fitting both these guys were painting and lettering back in the 70's and the 60's for Jim, and both have been away from this stuff for quite awhile ,,,,, Tim Jones
