How many hemi owners on the board

    Another one (well two actually). Blown 392 in my '33 Willys and another 392 sitt'n on the floor.

    I just picked up my second one from Lake Havasu on Sunday.It's a late 1954 Chrysler 331 Hemi.

  6. 'm in. 1958 Chrysler 354 block. bored as a 331 from a Dodge bus. Craigslist find. It's currently homeless. Got a 31 flatty powered roadster waiting for the current projects completion. Figured you got to jump when the opportunity arises though.

    Have a 53 Desoto 276 on the stand and a 56 330 Desoto factory 4 bbl. that is stuck. The 276 is the cleanest engine inside I have ever seen. Looking to get it running soon on the stand and build a car around it. Great thread. Keep the Pics coming.

    add 1 more to my colection, got this 31 model A with a 331 and 8x2 dragstar intake, will be putting in my 354 isky cam ross 10.5 c/r with the 8x2 this winter:D

    I used to have a barn full of 331's and 354's when I had the Hemi Heaven website. I saved a few parts and am now down to one running 56' 354.

    kinda new just joined the h.a.m.b today. I got a 1953 241 hemi (going on a 29 A)was in a barn for like 30 yrs a block away from my home.Its geting rebuilt as we speak.It came with a factory 4bbl intake cast #1537723-1 date 5-15-55 i think its from a 270.It looks like it fits the 241?can anybody let me now if im rite and if it works with the 241? pleas im going crazy so i joined the h.a.m.b. thanx...... also do 270 valves work on the 241 thanx again....... kevo-

    1954 Chrysler 331, Stock 4 barrel carb. & Stock Powerflite Trans.
    Trans never been off engine!
    Mocked up in 1929 Dodge Coupe
    Dirty and Clean, scrubbed down primed and painted with "Cast Iron" Engine paint.
    Turns over, hope to fire up soon!!!

  29. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that's not a '54. It's a '51-'53 extended bellhousing block. "54 didn't have that large appendage on the rear of the block.

    You have the tiny intake and exhaust ports, too. The big ones didn't come out until '54.

    2-291 desotos, 1-290-race desoto destroked and bored .125 over, one 341 desoto Adventurer shortblock.
