most clear coats have different mixing ratios-----his is 2 to 1 to 1/2

    some are 4 to 1
    3 to 1

not that it looks yellow(depending on clear coat) the issue is that silver has a natural soft look. and Chrome has a bluish tone, and Silver lacks this bluish tone, to see the difference take a small mirror and place it next to a similar sized Chromed piece(real chrome) and you will see the difference in tone

well thats correct. Silver is the most reflective metal in the universe. meaning that the perfect mirror will out reflect(shine) the best perfect chrome piece.. thats why normal spray on chrome can be as reflective if not more than real chrome. now to the issue of tone. to me it looks like stainless steel(highly polished)

    U talk about petrol tank?

maybe it is a little to white, but a little! In sun even real chrome stays much whiter than in room!

This petrol tank is in my friends workshop and it saw lot of people and all think this is real chrome!

Really looks good. Are you using non tinted clear first and then using tinted clear to cover the yellow like Nicamarvin does?

My pieces still turn yellow or come out to dark. I hope I can find the secret formula like you did.

    VERDICT

Next time i will do it much better! It looks good, but is some errors, but they are technical- with air pressure, with air filters, with with with! This is large project and it is hard! Big problem was light i need much much better light to do it right!

After varnish i get some strange errors in some places, but will see tomorrow when hood will be dry

p.s. sorry about images/video quality- my phone is under hard varnish coat ha ha ha ha :D
