i thought those wagons were hardtops, that one looks like it has door tops

 

In 1957, Oldsmobile had the Golden Rocket 88 series, the Super 88 series and the Starfire 98 series. I believe, though I'm not certain, that both of the 88’s had hardtop station wagons, as well as conventional types with window frames. No station wagons were produced in the 98 series. Oddly enough, all 1957 Oldsmobile station wagons are called Fiestas.

When you say saved. Do you mean you saved it ?

 

man that olds wagon would be awesome to cruise

 

I would like to here you saved the malibu next to the olds.

I love that body style and they are really hard to find in this area...

 

Tried to load more pictures, but they came out huge; anyway it's a ranch in Wyoming that's being cleaned up. Scroll down a ways and there are some cheeeep projects - even if the floors are gone, any complete '37 Chevy is a good deal at $500.00!

I mean i drug it out of the feild and Sold them to people looking for Projects! i consider that saving it because alot were destine for the scrap yard

 

Yes its was a 1979 Pontiac Lemans, i bought it when i was about 15 and used it as my Field racer for years until i sold it last year

 

Just saved this one. Rot free frame, been up out of the muck and under drippy pine trees for quite some time.

Do you have a scanner?Get them scanned into your computer then upload to image shack or The Hamb.Best of luck.

With a little practice taking digital shots of 35mm prints can look very good. Not the same as a scanner but not not as involved nor labor intensive. Use natural light, minimize shadows, closely crop, and hold camera as centered and perpendicular to print as possible.

 

Good tip SouthUrn. I do that instead of scanning newspapers & magazines because they look way better photographed.

These 2 Internationals used to/still sit out in the woods of a house I lived in for a long time back in SD, the pickup is a 39 I think and was drug out about 3 years ago and rat rodded, the guys are almost finished with it, the other one im not sure of the year but I'm guessing its from the 20s and most of it seems to be there. That one is still there last I knew and could probably be bought cheap, I know the pick up sold for 200

 

been a couple days so heres some more out of my local collection

The pictures of this ditch were taken back about 8 years ago, I went and checked on it 2 years ago and they had hauled 95% of the cars out for scrap

Looks like quite a range of "scrap". Was that in Iowa farm country? If so, not much rust, and a lot of 2 doors for that area!! Amazing none of it looks to have been picked over, it must have been way off the beaten path!!

^^^That looks like a Dolphine all right. Try to get one of the tires off a rim on Coats tire machine! Impossible'!

 

A local junkyard as a few of those but they are all 4 doors,if a 2 door version was made I would like to have a body and make a frame for it so it could handle a motor much bigger than what it came with.
