Good luck on the rebuild, I agree with your dad the channeled look misses the mark when it comes to a real hot rode with a rake..:D

Well Ive started to replace my recessed fire wall with a stock one that my friend Chris (Inked Monkey) gave me. Got my shifter installed, made a headlight bar from a 33 BB truck, need to get the floors in and start finishing my chassis so i can drive this thing!!

I like it. Personal preference would have been to go with the 390, but that is more work. Looking good so far. Details on the new direction?

Gonna be honest it was really coming along, even the truck grill looked good with the dropped axel and headlights added. But the jump back to the a frame took it from hot rod to a stocker that ditched the fenders and put a big truck grill on it. I'm kinda flabbergasted by how "on" it was to have it take a turn like this.

It's your car though and I'm sure it'll change again anyways, I'll keep watching maybe you'll bring it back around again

The deuce rails were just sooo damn heavy!!! And i could never get over how long it looked... I know its only 2.5" but you CAN see it. Hot rods in my mind are short, dumpy, light and minimalistic. That is exactly what I'm going for! I still have the rails, 390 all of it but i doubt I'll ever use the overweight 32 rails...

Would you be willing to part with the 390 and the rails? Shoot me a PM and we'll discuss.

I waa hoping to see the 32 rails with a 390 then hear you found a T roadster to put on the A rails with the flat head. Either way it still a killer car I would be proud to own.

Man it is your car so build it how you want, However in my opinion a truck grille shell is way too bulky with a 28-29 cowl. the 32 frame did help that look out a bit, but now it just looks huge on that model A frame. but if you like the way it looks that is really all that matters, just my 2 cents

Have to fully agree with Cowtown speedshop with the build, but disagree about the grill:)

Upgraded to a Deuce Heavy axle and ordered a reverse eye rear spring. I'm about a month from driving this thing!!!

Got my front bones mounted so all thats left up front is the shocks... And i figured the rears out. Im using a T rear crossmember to mount my rear bones to. Should be a pretty nice drivable chassis!

Got the hood and headlights mocked up. Chassis is 90% complete. Shouldn't be long now!
