    Maybe the rest is overdone, but I really like that rear bumper/grille combo - the designers were definitely looking at the Kustom scene for inspiration. And I bet the folks at Pontiac borrowed some of that taillight design for 1960.

  28. Okay, this one comes from my family archives. From 1957 and filmed by my aunt, the 125th anniversary parade in my childhood hometown of Milford Michigan. I was one of the kids on one of the floats, I remember riding in it but not too many other details. The General Motors Proving Grounds is about 5 miles from Milford, check out the Buick Concept car. And the "new" 1957 TBird.

    Many years later and 4 days out of the Air Force I was working at the Ford dealership in Milford, learning the parts business. That multi-story building in the far background was the Ford Carburetor Plant where my aunt worked at the time.
