I haven't visited here in a good minute, but wanted to swing by and see if there was any good info on TF ~ glad I did, and very excited to see so many will be attending.

My friend and I will be coming from Des Moines area. I'm a first-timer for this show, but the girl I'm coming with says this is her favorite one, so I'm in good company!

I'd like to know this too -- is there going to be any sort of "after party" so to speak? My friend and I are definitely looking to hit the town after the show.

Neither of us know Dubuque too well, but looks like there's a [possibly] great place called The Busted Lift/The Lift. Maybe those familiar with the area can confirm, or suggest something different?

You are going to have a blast at Torque Fest. I know I did last year! Mark September 13 & 14 on your calendar. I'm putting on a show called Mississippi Mayhem up in West Salem, WI. It's just under 4 hours north of you, but trust me, it will be so worth the drive. Tattoos welcome!

thank you all for the warm welcome and friend request and messages! I still donot have anyone to ride with, but am sure I will be their anyway. I know there is plenty to do at the show but I am out til 2am kinda girl so I will want to go out at night when show packs up. Hopeing there is a place we can all hang from show together all tatted up and putting money in the soundbox for good musics!

My wife and daughter recently stayed at the Canfield and it was a really cool experience with "period correct" rooms and furniture.
I you upgrade to the Julien, have a cold one for my brother Nick RIP who did a lot of the finish carpentry on the staircases and other ornamental work.

 

Remember, It's Iowa.... The Weather (& the forecast) change about every 5 min around here!

Thanks for the info!! The reviews I read on the Canfield made it sound like it was pretty seedy, but in a good way. I was very intrigued!

Gettin a front end rebuild,brakes,and working gas gauge for the old Gal! It's gonna be close!

 

well i finished u the interior for the coupe.... jeff came picked it up and its on its way back up north....im very happy how everything turned out and so was jeff..... so if you get a chance swing by my spot at the show and take a look at this killer ride... believe me you cant miss this bright car..!!!!!

Visited John Wells today at his booth at the Jefferson Swap Meet. Sounds like it's pretty much ready to rock! Looking forward to another great Torque Fest.

Just a couple more days.

I noticed several videos playing in his booth and did not recognize one. He said he made an Extended Trailer for the 1st Iron Invasion video that's coming out this summer. Check it out...pretty kool!

Clean truck! I like the rear end. I hope to see it there! I'll be bringing my 60 Comet to VTF

 

Thanks, Its a blast to drive but in reality its not all that clean the cab is kinda crusty on the bottom edge and it drags pretty bad so I just left it that way.

Just got the rebuilt trans back in the car today and finally got the Halibrand quick change sorted out and reinstalled. Road test tomorrow and head to Iowa Thursday morning. I can't think of a better way to break in the new coupe than a roadtrip to the Torque Fest!

I'm getting really stoked to put some miles on the coupe and looking forward to meeting some new folks at the show.

Let's hope for good weather.
