It's a good looking T bucket, but I think it looks a little like a wanna-be Singapore Sling.

Kind of a cool idea, they're just showing the billion ways you could build there "kits"

As far as this guy being a rep, I really doubt it he's just some young kid who looks at speedway stuff. As far as reps being banned there are literally hundreds of company and business reps on the hamb, why would you ban them? It's not like they're spamming us.

Iam not a speedway rep. I just get there catalogs. Iam new to hot rods ive mostly owned mini trucks and imports. I now want to move in to hot rods and thought that a 60's style t would be an interesting change. The car shows in my area are mostly muscle cars and trucks. I just though I would share a few t buckets I though were interesting.

There's about 4 good threads on them. Try a search and good luck with crossing over to the land of reason. Or insanity. You choose.

Front tires are too tall , wheelbase is about 12" too long and the aluminum seats yuck but i realize its to show case speedways prodducts. Other than that its a nice bucket.

Pics reminded me that I never cared for www's on mags. To me, it's just a clash.

IMHO, those mags would look much better with blackwalls and cheater slicks out back.
The tires would look much better with solids/caps/rings.

I must apologize a bit for that post.
It seems there's been a rash of new guys reposting t-bucket stuff without searching and reading on here first.

A little bucket is a great first build to get into HotRods!

Sadly Speedway hasn't done anything original ever!

It is similar to Dan Collins bucket, but it's not the first time something has been copied. Look at all the american graffiti 32's and 55 chevy's that get built. All of them are copies to!

Not going to bat for anyone here, but their color is purple! Every freakin little residual valve and prop valve they sell has to be that fugly purple color!

That is completely different. Those cars were immortalized in a movie, dans T is just a show car that a company has a "poor mans" blatant rip off of. In my opinion anyway

I'll take the other side of the fence on this one.........for a lot of guys who want to get into a hot rod one of these kits makes a lot of sense. Not everyone has the huge outlay in tools and equipment it takes to build one from scratch, nor do they sometimes have the ability. For those of us who are blessed with those tools and equipment they might not be a good choice, but there are a lot of T buckets and hot rods driving around that would have never happened if it weren't for the kit car industry.

I think it is a cool little car and could easily be personalized with wheels, engine choice, and paintwork. If I won one in a contest I wouldn't kick it out of bed.

I dunno, it has a great ol' 60's look to it. What makes it so lame? Plastic body, new parts. I realize that re purposing or saving old parts is at the top of the list for most of us old gearheads, but if you take a youngster that does not have the ability or the means of aquiring these old gems, then what is wrong with him buying new ones? Us old guys are thinning out at an alarming rate. I would rather see one of todays young rodder get started on a catalog hot rod rather than drifting in a flat black rice burner. Maybe I'm wrong but I wouldn't be ashamed to drive this one. Norm

I wasn't aware that the Dan Collin's T was the first one to have a panel paint job. I know one of the guys that works at Speedway and was working on this and it is my understanding that the paint design was a tribute / copy of a car that ran around the Omaha area back in the early 70's but in Speedway's colors.

Their kit is a complete rip-off of the "Hot Rod in a Box" Speedway even measured this small company's car at Autorama!!
