  1. Here is the one we found, this is just how we rolled it out of the garage it had been in. Me and my pops have been making great progress on it and hope to have it back on the road soon.

    thanks for the photos.

mine is a 46. it's chopped and channelled and runs a 291 desoto/700r4. i've been driving it like this for 8 or 9 years. once my 27 T project is on the road, i'd like to start work on the 46 to take it to the next level. i'm considering fade-aways.

let's keep this thread going. here's a pic of my work in progress

  5. I like the light blue/dark blue scallop version, meself.

Nice build, but lose the non-HAMB-friendly wheels and hood hinges and that would fit in here.

  9. Sorry about the wheels and tires, I really want to put some different ones on but I am on a budget, I won these wheels about 10 years ago and the tires cost me about $400.00. Hoping to get enough money saved to buy some nice wide whites, and will probably will paint some wheels the same color of red as I did on the car. I was looking at about 3 times the cost just to get it on the road, thought that these looked O.K. for now. As far as the Hood hinges go that is a whole different story, After I shortened the hood by 3" I was having a hard time getting the hood to fit right. I got pissed one night and welded it closed. This lead me to what you see here, my best attempt at making the hood open. I cut them out of aluminum the same night a made the hood ornament. If anyone has any great ideas on how to make them look better I am all for it! In the long run I am going for something that could or may have been done in the 60's. all of the drive train is out of a 62 chevy. and besides a few minor upgrades everything but the wheels fit that.

  10. Hey, that's cool...I'm not busting your chops or anything. Great story on the hood/hinges. I bet it's a pain the the arse to do any engine work through that small opening!

  11. I just like looking at my real bullet holes

  12. ^^^^That's the first chop on a fat Ford that I actually liked!

  13. Oh, my...found this on the Interwebzzzz...

  17. Yes it is, the best option is to take the hood off and crawl in. If I have to do do anything to hard I think that I will just pull the body. 8 bolts and a couple wires. shouldn't be to bad.

Thanks. I appreciate that. Other than maybe lowering the rear with a set of posies reverse eye springs. Right now, she has the extended shackles on the rear. Other than that, I have been driving her every chance I get. Went to Dawsonville Ga last year and plan on taking her again this year. Steve

  29. Those were the two things (and maybe the exhaust tips) that I found inconsistent with the rest of the build, but there were a lot of nice-ity that was cool.

Easy for me to be an arm-chair critic since I have neither talent nor experience...

Have you started your new project yet?

  30. I'm not much for taildraggers, but that convertible in # 61 is sooooo reeeet!!
