Hey Hakoval: I have one like that, but for the 59ab type block. It is signed, but all the machine work was never finished on it.I also have a " WOOD" lettered 2 carb intake that is one of only six ever cast here in silverton back in 1946-7.The two brothers had it cast when in high school here and used them on a dirt track car. i'd post a picture if i could ever figure out how to do that.
I didn't think there were any hot rodders in Drain, let alone very many people at all. Guess i need to pull off I-5 sometime instead of doing 70 mph past there, huh ?.

Here's one that Flat32 designed and built..only two in existence...this is a new design with a removeable top so you can run one or two carbs...beautiful!

I'm willing to bet those S.A.E. heads, and V8 60 intake were bought last weekend at the Bowman auction in Mansfield Ohio. There were several sets of heads, and several intakes there. In addition to the SAE heads, there were two sets of Offy heads, a set of Edelbrocks, two sets of Ford aluminum heads, and a pair of Federal Mogul heads, all for the larger flathead. there was a set of Offy heads for a 60 in the pile too, and another pair on an engine. Intakes, there was an Edmunds dual for a 100hp, a Meyers, and a couple 60 intakes. Also a ton of 94 and 97 carbs, several of which were factory rebuilds still in the box.

From what I have read, Mal Ords equipment was considered to be good stuff back in the day.

This is the kind you want I guess. I took these pics in Sweden a while back. Not sure of there whereabouts now.
    Neat stuff

From what I understand, not even major companies had copyrighted thier designs, so Bob from Bob's speed shop could take a new manifold to a local caster and have them remove the name, put Bob's name on there, and make a handfull for him to sell at his shop.

No, in fact the PM-7 was made after the Weiand. Tommy Thickstun made other intakes before his PM-7. I have a highrise Thickstun (with original green paint) that was made about the same time as the Weiand I showed, but I doubt either one copied the other. They are too different.

I used to own a PM-7 with the original red paint. Sold it way too cheap and kick myself now.

Other semi-rare intakes I own, besides the the early Thickstun are Evans and Grancor (matches my heads).

I have a beautiful 2X2 fully polished Navarro. According to Barney & the serial #, it was cast in '48.

Should I get a pict. & include. Don't know if it would be considered "rare".

How about some Flathead Six stuff?

I was perusing my newly acquired copy of Rod & Custom for February 1954 and spotted this nice 1930 roadster with a 1951 Ford flathead six. The owner was almost apologetic about it, but I think it looks real nice today. The otherwise-stock engine runs an Edmunds dual carb intake and split exhaust manifold.
