Thinking Small – Baby Cars: Is a very interesting post that we have up featuring small cars with H-D and Indian motorcycle engines. This car was built by Floyd Clymer in Denver, Colorado in 1920. It was driven by Hart Hueraine “Hal” Bowman (pictured behind the wheel) in 1920 and it was the only car of it’s type in the Midwest at the time and had to compete with the big cars on dirt ovals. The Don Lee Cadillac Agency Service Department: This 1932 photo shows us the service department interior along with its deluxe lube rack in the lubrication bay, at Don Lee Cadillac, which was located at 655 East Green Street in Pasadena, California. WTF? test firing machine guns?

 

Yes, this was the way aiming the guns was handled. Each gun would converge at a certain point of impact.

 

It's called 'Harmonising', it is basically aiming the guns so they converge at a set distance in front of the aircraft. Also a wing gun camera is also 'Harmonised' to film whatever the aircraft (In this case a Hurricane) shoots at.

Hi Novadude,

I often wonder when I post photos of people or incidents if anyone might know of someone involved, relative or friend. Then it becomes more personal, closer to home and makes the world much smaller and more intimate. Makes me think..why can't we all just get along.

I have many friends who have lost loved ones in battle for their country, they are all heroes, may your Grandfather rest in Peace.

And thanks for the history on the solomons and the cameraman .

The B26 was also known as the widowmaker as many were crashed on takeoff & landing due to the higher speeds required. My dad was a tailgunner in one of these.RIP The Lutwaffe didn't get him but cigarettes did at the age of 54. He was a Tennessee country boy who grew up in the Depression.He could shoot the eyes out of a squirrel in the top of a hickory tree!

How many of you guys attended a rural one-room school house?

This is the one in Montezuma, Colorado which is a town of about 100 population about 80 miles west of Denver. It sits in a high mountain canyon at a little over 10,000 ft. elevation.

The school house was in daily operation from about 1883 until 1962. It is now a museum and has been restored. I helped with the restoration which was completed about 3 years ago.

 

She's starting to show the wear from never being out of the limelight. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide......

 

I guess everybody thinks that it is M M, but I am doubtful. Study the facial profile, I can't see her there. And that may not be the K boys either.

 

The more I study the cheek structure the more I think you are right....

think you mean #72063, it's the legendary Auto Union Type C race car from the german 1930s, Audi, who is todays 'grandkid' of the former AutoUnion, reconstructed one of these cars by using old photographes.
