Vintage shots from days gone by!

A Gas Crunch in San Francisco: The caption on this 1934 photo tells us that it “shows motorists who were having trouble getting gas during a Longshore-men’s Strike in the San Francisco, California area”. Motorists have jammed this associated gas station and the crew there is busy dispensing fuel from the many "visible pumps". Note the canopy columns with the glassed in display cases. Never was able to get that accessory with any car I've had, well, not in the trunk anyways. Is that that Trunk Monkey I have heard about?

Great pic, who hasn't been there? 7:30 AM, sitting drunk out in the driveway, sock missing. Front of the car all bent from who or whatever it was you hit on the nightly bender. At least the rain rinsed the blood off! I commend this guy for staying classy, what with the pipe and all!

The third photo, of the old mill, brought a tear to my eye. . . I may not be as old as this picture, but I can't tell you how many memories I have of the Iowa State fair, and this attraction in particular from my childhood.

It's a "semi" trailer because it is supported by the tractor at one end. A full trailer has wheels at each end and rolls on its own. A double-bottom, as I've heard it called, is a semi-trailer and a full trailer.
