Yeah, and a Road Train is the same as a double-bottom with another one or two trailers behind. They are used in the Australian Outback, and I expect other places too.

No, a road train is a semi-trailer (or articulated lorry) PLUS another two or three 40' trailers behind the truck and trailer combo. They're not allowed into major cities, but are used for long-haulin' livestock or food, etc to remote outback locations.

 

Sorry I was referring to the original question about the term "semi".
