Help what year dropped axle

    What is the best year of dropped axle to use for a 1933 Chevy p.u. Trying to figure out the correct width and what is the. Best way to set it up purch in front or x member :confused:

    What makes you think its a Rat Rod?? It is a 1933 Chevy p.u. cusom frame yes no fenders but it will be all custome and painted

    I a'm new to the Hockey ass board But I have been building Hot rods my whole life have owned my own body shop for several years and still build cars at home trying to get to the point of building my own instead of everybody elses have the 1933 chevy and a 41 Studebaker done lots of bikes and custom paint work thanks for any help. Just trying to see what everyone else has done for there frontend.

    Welcome from Colorado. I build a lot of chevys, but I usually don't use the stock style front suspension unless it's in good shape. I don't have a problem using a 32 ford or model A cross member with a 4 inch dropped axle usually from speedway on my projects. They get them low enough for me.

    Do you no what year of axle would be the best choice for the 1933 Chevy for the width and trying to determine if I want a x member or a suicide any help would be apreciated. And my bad it's not a Rat.
