  10. Is anyone bringing any 16" bias ply tires to sell? I'm looking for a pair of 5.00- or 5.50-16 blackwalls for my A Tudor!

PM me so I can bring the moolah!

Well. On the way to the beach this weekend the Olds lost 3rd and 4th gear. After all these years the Hydra-matic has gone out. It will be rebuilt as soon as I can find someone and the parts. So needless to say, unfortunately she won't be making it to the show. But I'll be there Saturday to enjoy good company! See you guys then!

Sorry to hear about the transmission. There is a guy in our area (Chris Ingle) that rebuilds the Hydra-matics and is extremely reasonably priced. Let me know if you need a number and I will get it for you. Even though you will not have your car, I hope you have a great time at SIM!

  16. Yeah,Chris builds all my transmissions and does first class work. HRP

Agree with these posts, don't entrust that Hydra- Matic to some guy who's been in auto trans repair for less than 35- 40 yrs just on his say-so about experience and past results of his work. The last year the true Hydra-Matic was OEM in a new car was 1955.
You're in SC, so are these guys. I think that if it were I in your situation , I'd listen , and then evaluate. Two good HAMBers agree he's the man to see.

Took the 35 on an 80 mile beatdown run today and passed with flying colors. Buddys 49 plugged 2 fuel filters and pump is getting tired. Hes tossing a pump in it and a handful of filters in the glovebox after some more shakedowns this week. So stoked i cant stand it! 5 days, boys n girls, see yas then!

  28. Well, had the car ready to go, doing some tuning, had a soft brake pedal and started bleeding them then I broke off the right front bleeder! Took off the drumb, and ALL the brake parts fell out on the floor !!! Shoes, springs..... Seems the clip that holds the shoes in place broke and then everything got milled around!! Thing is they no longer make the clips or the spring that got damaged anymore!!! Hoping I can pull something together to come play Sat!!

    I hear ya! :D

I didn't check the blower snout on my 6-71, set it on the intake and realize its ~1.5" out past the crank pulley. Rocker arms need light clearancing for the retainers . . . have to finish up brake lines.

Don't know if I can bring anything but I'll be there friday and saturday :D
