Compound would make it a LOT harder on those tires. Car probably wieghs what, maybe 2100lbs with the driver? I have no problem believing 12s. Modern track prep would make it harder.
This is the car you are thinking of, right? I really dont think they are the same car, although they do have a lot of similarities. A fenders, and the box is mounted higher, headlights are larger, higher and farther forward, among other things. Inclined to agree with Highlander on the bobbed Model A fenders. I am still holding out for cycle fenders on the front though. The T fenders would work well if you rolled them forward ala Bakan, until the trailing edge was almost even with the bottom edge of the bed, and shortened the leading edge.
I wish I could photoshop/edit like some of the pros. I'd paint that thing and mod the box/fenders just to avoid having to build the real thing (!).
Plan on it. I'm already registered and have booked the hotel, only this time I'm shooting for an even better time. Maybe I'll make one pass on my truck tires, but after that, I'm putting the slicks on. r
Hey, that's not bad either, but how about a gold pearl over the top of BRG? Of course I'd have to add green pleats between the white ones. It just really works on that truck.
