Really. From someone who lists their car as an SS396? Not quite traditional. The line between street rods and hot rods is often a thin one-just like the one between hot rods and the dreaded rat rods. There are enough cars there for everyone-from totally home built to totally store built. Even if it's not my style, I always can admire the workmanship. Anyone can be an internet bully. please expound on your pontifical statement.
in the realm OF NSRA ......having a rent a cop riot over a misplaced merc in york pa was not real fun in 1994 ..
now the 1948 barrier has been torn down ..let the cash flow in , most of the old participants just sorta - you - know ..died we just went to York to have some fun with my buddies and had a rude welcome ..but I see you are a Homer and that anything bad said about 'the biggest thing in town' , is taken as a personal attack
I live over a 100 miles from York-lots of folks closer-not sure if that makes me a "homer". I just go to have fun. You brought the wrong car 20 years ago? Maybe time to move on? I don't know the cir***stances, but it seems ot have you spooked. It's a nice place, nice show, nice drive down, and they've had some hard times. I'll go. You want to stay home on the web. Fine. Have a nice summer.
I read where on Sat the is going to be a "Special Parking Area" for Model-A's that might be interesting---at least I know that on Sat,I won't be parked next to something from the 70's
Why NSRA stopped the camping was because some people were reserving camping spots along the fence and putting up a $9.99 tent just to get a primo spot and they stayed in motels. NSRA found out and they squashed the camping thing. If NSRA can't make a buck on something they put an end to it. They stopped the hat pins for "Safety 23" then they stopped giving out the nice br*** dash plaques at Louisville and now give cheap plastic. Remember, NSRA is a for-profit business they could care less about us.
I see on the NSRA map of the fairgrounds, the building designated as U is a beer garden----might be a good place for a HAMB meet & greet either Fri or Sat,or both. Anyone up for that & what would be a good time?
