1 more day to go until funtime! I will have "race fuel" in my cooler.

 

Today I will build a trans crossmember, drive shaft then stick the body back on, dial it in, and be ready for Friday. I restored the frame over the last 10 days.

Yup, probably Sat. after the rain......

 

Buddy has been road testing the 49 all week and was greeted by a sunk float last night. 24 hours to find a holley 94 float but we did it! Rolling out with the Oddballz c.c. At 11am from kannapolis nc. Looks like well be rolling about 12 deep- steel in motion baby! See you all friday afternoon! P. s.- rain appears to be pushing back and looking better, may luck out...... Not that it will stop us anyhow- we got coolers to empty!

We will head out about 9 loaded up and ready to roll

 

Well hell, one of our crew couldn't get his car put togather so he bailed. And since he isn't coming, (with the camper) the buddy that was coming to sell in the swap meet bailed.

The one that was still coming wife was in an auto wreck night before last and is in bed so he can't come.

But if the creek don't rise and the tires hold up I'll be there this agternoon!

So if anyone sees me parked on the side of the road please stop!

 

Got the bikes loaded last night! Pullin' out with ssrs71 (Russell) around noon!

Provided the traffic isn't "DC", we should see y'all round 6! Have the steaks ready....medium rare!

 

That wasn't you on the side of I-85 just before Commerce in a red f-250 and a trailer this morning was it ?!? Because I didn't have time to stop

The cheetah didn't make it!! U joint failed and sudden violent vibration caused some damage. Fan holed the radiator, starter shed the band and Bendix cover, shifter tossed a rod pin. With those 5.57's, drive shaft thought it was going 90.
