And she's Doin' the Shotgun Boogie, which she is obviously quite adept at. Thanks for posting these nice ladies for us.

My Dad was stationed at the same base as Clark Gable, until he was sent to St.Lo France during the D-Day invasion.

  13. The Buick Wildcat in post 72498,
How hard would it be to clone this car? Could it be done from a regular Buick of the era?
I think it's one of the most beautiful concept cars ever done......

  14. ain't it a beauty? our HAMBer nostalgia59 builds a ride inspired by this, here's the link:

I don't know how difficult it would be but it would be expensive. You would need to start with a Corvette not a full-size Buick. Pontiac, Olds, and Buick all had concept cars based on the Corvette that were shown at the Motoramas. I agree that the Buick was the most successful and is very cool.

  16. ^^^^^ Flame away, I've been here awhile, but look at the body shapes.
A mold could be made and bodies could be laid up easily. A 2x3 frame with MII frontend, and there you are. It would have to have a Nailhead.....

OK, enough pipedreamin'! Back to the show!

  17. Agreed........the body shapes are only suggestive of Corvette. If you set out to reshape vette panels you would wind up with a big pile of discarded sections. The original Vette used 53 chevy front suspension so that would be easy enough and the rest of the frame could be teased out of the 53 chevy as well. But don't overlook the mouldings, trim and the britework. That would take some real work. The windshield glass would be about the only piece that you would be able to buy new. Also, the term "replica" sounds more friendly than clone to my ear. Clone isn't "period correct" LOL

  18. Camel toe was the right answer.

Look at that windshield more closely. It's not even close to stock Corvette.
