Might seem kinda early but 5 weeks will be here soon enough.

We reserved a bunch of rooms already. It rained enough last year to cover us for the next few.:D

Were staying at the King Oscar again. And were planning on heading north on I5 from Eugene area around noon if anyone wants to meet up along the way.

We are planning on it but it will be over and back on the same day camera in hand in the ot late model.
As slow as I move these days I don't think I could put the 48 back together for a road trip if I had the next month off to work on it all day every day. It might be fun to see what that 292 will do before sticking it in the new version of the truck though.

  4. I dunno Joe, just depends on how quick my lost title, tags, and insurance go.

  5. Should be fun!

Going to try to make it. Probably run up in the morning, as it's only about 90 min. drive, and head back in the evening.

Naw, had a Kool Kat fab it up with some sick coat hanger welding skills, burned some midnight oil and its bUllitproof.

We loved billitproof last year even without swim wear, can't imagine the great times this year in nice weather.

  16. Is this a family friendly event? I'm considering taking a couple of my younger nephews and I don't want them reporting back about a bunch of non family friendly bs lol.

And Boones that car is completely bitchen, I love where you are going with it.

Kid friendly yes, we took our five kids in 2011. This year all six will go. Sometimes you may see a pinnup chick walking around but nothing tooo skanky.
We are pretty conservative and I feel totally fine with the atmosphere.

They should be fine. It's about as laid back of and event as you can get and there are usually a bunch of kids there. The usually do and don't things for kids and adults still apply in that one needs to treat even the crustiest rusty with the same respect you would a full on show car. That's sometimes a hard thing for kids or adults who have never been to a car show before.

About the only thing I have ever seen that might bother someone with smaller kids along is that there are a few guys who tend to be a bit rough in their choice of words but that goes on almost everywhere you go anymore. The "Betties" still have more clothes on than you might see at the mall half the time so that shouldn't be an issue. You might get an "Unk, why does that lady have the funny hair and makeup?" thing though.

Round up is June 15th this year, Billet Proof is the next weekend. last year I think they shared the same weekend

  22. Thanks for the info guys. Nephews are 12 and 14. I'm trying to show them the more traditional side of old cars and trucks. But I'm not really interested in showing them the "scene" thing that has attached it self to trad hot ridding. I'll look at pics of past Billet Proof coverage and make a decision.

What is the date? Hey, New Fisher really like the suburbon. The folks camped and towed all over the state in the '50's. Neat rigs. Norm

Looking forward to going for the 1st time this year.

Although my truck has been before with a previous owner. Truck looks the same but drivetrain, suspension, brakes & steering have all changed.
