  1. well, friday night cruise nights start soon I believe, they are like every friday night and they block off like 3-4 city blocks and you park right downtown. its alright, I always get there mad late and miss most the stuff. But now since my schedule has changed I could make it up there sooner. Might hit up a few of them this year. I'll ask my friend that lives there what the scoop is.

Thanks alot guys. I had to take a few days off from working on it. I was starting to get in a rush and nothing gets done correctly when your rushing. We're having a big family cook out July 4th and I wanna drive it there. That's usually what the whole family does is drive there old cars.. So it's a nice day with about 20 or so cars there . One good solid weekend once my parts come in and ill have it road worthy, as long as the motor runs good after I rebuild the 97's .

I want to thank uncle max for the carb kits. I got both carbs completely overhauled. I replaced the emulsion tubes and that was alot of the issues. They were plugged solid. The car runs sooooo perfect now and doesn't get hot. The timing Is perfect and it fired right up like It never has. I'm so happy with it. I got the car wired today including mounting the factory battery box. Which the box worked out perfect cause it fits just like factory just on the pass side . Perfect. All I need is a master cylinder and some throttle linkage and we are road test ready !!!

I used muriatic acid to clean the carbs after they were all disassembled. It worked so so well. I used a cup of acid to two gallons of water and all the parts came out shiney new !

I wired the car yesterday. I found I had the original batter cables from the 36 ford this engine was pulled from.. They were like new. They are 10 strands of heavy copper wire. After shortening them , soldering on new heavy duty ends. The car cranks over like 12 volt. I'm really happy with that

Just needed some tlc then. Nice work!

Carbs look great and it's idling a lot better now. I run a max97 carb on my 38' and it runs excellent and doesn't leak. It can sit for weeks and will fire right up. Not always my luck when it comes to carburetors for some reason.

    Man it is coming together!
