Z-ed frame in '52

 

Please disregard the front suspension on this frame, but look at the Bell style holes on the side rails. I have seen this before but I don't know what time period it was from? Can anyone help?

 

I don't think I will post a picture of the rusty old frame I have but there are some great ideas and info here!

 

I finally found out what this frame is underneath.. FalconGeorge posted in another thread and I came across it earlier today. I'm not too sure about the exhaust because I don't see it but everything else matches up pretty good.

So you said period perfect '60s too. Here's mine - I love the trad look, but I like to drive fast and long. So here's my traditional "style" chassis. Disk brakes, yeah - drums cost twice as much as disks and I like to stop even at highway speeds. I understand the idea of the thread, but unless you drag it out of a barn, even a traditional chassis will have some nod to safety and performance, no?

Wow, That is a blast from the past. This is what I remember. I don't think I could recreat a car like that, it just would not be the same feel. I really like to look at old builds, even with their quirks.

I started screwing together another old deuce chassis this week and it got me thinking about this thread... so how about a few more...?

 

Yeah, how about some more damn it! I think I need an original chassis for my phaeton but every time I look at the one I have I change my mind. I need inspiration so cough them up!

Not 32 frames but they both have 32 X members (& no 5 speeds, coilovers, disc brakes...)

This is absolutely a stunning chassis...

 

I think I could own this just as a work of art and never actually put a body on it.
