I remember these most used by parking meter readers before the little Cushman 3 wheeled scooters came along.

I remember the stick with the fat chalk they used to mark your tire.

For some reason I always think of San Francisco PD when I see one and I don't know why.

Scrubba, I remember the steam train at the visitor's center. My son was a train nut as a toddler and we visited it a lot. This postcard is in the VCU Library archives. I have a similar postcard from when it was new in the 1920's. The station was built on the property of the OLD Hermitage Golf Course in what was once the far west end of Richmond.

Below was taken in March, 1975. The station closed in December 1975. Sometime around that time I took my roommate there a couple of times to catch the train. It was a very cool building inside. I've been to it a lot since it became the Science Museum too.

Okay, I don't know a thing about this car except that it certainly is sweet-looking. Anyone have any info about it?

IMO, it looks later than 1933, closer to about 1937 or 38.
I wonder why it didn't enter production. Oh, wait. There was Depression going on, wasn't there?
Kind of a shame though. Pretty car.
