That pretty much puts all other threads on the back burner...........

  2. That would be Melvin,,Gene's right hand man.

Back in the old days Gene had the tube inside the car and he pressurized it himself! HRP

Link works great for me. It sounds good in the video, but it sounds much better in person. I wish Quain could have seen the looks on Gene's daughters' faces tonight, that was really priceless.

Oh Yeah! My headphones have been messing up for quite awhile but I never really cared until today when I couldn't hear the full power of Gene's motor. New headphones tomorrow! Man I love this story! Tee shirts gonna be ordered as well!

Such a cool deal! Great to see so many people jump on board this project and put someone's needs and dreams ahead of their own. Thanks for letting the rest of us in on this. Good on H.R.P. for the updates and "runway" modeling of the Moonlighter shirt.:p

Wish i could be @ Greer to see the Moonlighter and all of those that made it possible. This restoration has to have been the best possible Therapy than Gene could of had. His wifes smiles and rap on the back has to be one of the most dear things I have seen. Gene and Melvin just went about their jobs of checking, tuning and filling the transmission without hardly a word spoken, What a Team they must of been back "In the Day".

    T-Shirt on Order

AWSOME ! As this whole project is. Sounds great. Congrats to all involved.

  17. Watched this again for the umfteen time and you start seeing other things.

Ruths cheer leading shows she was a driving force behind Gene in the day.But watch Gene turn to her when the car starts ... I would say that was an expression of love to her for her years of support. And I told you I still have it!!

And the other... their was Gapp & Roush.. Glidden &Allen.. Dyno Don & Wade
but the south had the secret team of Gene & Melvin another ford super team ( watch them )

  18. Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!!!! I'm so happy for you Mr. Cromer!!!

Great Job Everyone!!! You All Did Great!!!!

Every body has been asking what time the car will be unveil. The decision has been made it will be between 1:30 and 2 o:clock. The car will stay covered until that time sorry no peeking.

Please pass on to Gene that I am giving him a pair of new NOS center caps for the rear wheels and they were put into the mail this morning. All I had was the Glenn's address, and John will be delivering them to you guys in a few days.

Man, that video gave me chills and got me choked up at the same time, especially the interaction between Gene and his wife. That's priceless.

  28. Gene has graciously offered up the original drivers seat cover,,this is the one and only that has been personally autographed and will go to the highest bidder,,

This is only offered on the Hamb,,so please bid with your hearts and help Gene offset some of his personal expenses.

You can own a true piece of history by a remarkable man.

    The auction runs through Monday.

Click link below to view the Auction and to bid.HRP
