My Buddy Jim Coleman came out and sprayed the paint on the car today, after jokeingly asking me if I remembered anything he taught me about bodywork:(, It came out looking great, (aside from my body work) , Jim told me that he hadn't touched a spray gun in 15 years, Didn't look like he missed a step, He still looked like the mad scientist I worked for 30 years ago:D Jim said he'd been thinking about getting back into painting hotrods and this was the boost he needed,,,, Tim Jones

My brother Terry , stopped by today so I talked him into helping me put the body back on the chassis, while he was here we pushed it outside for a couple pics, My brother raced at Cornhusker Raceway in Omaha NE,and got me hooked on this drag racing bug when I was 10 or 11, So all this is his fault :D, he's the one in the white cap,,, Tim Jones

Yeah todays weather is a whole different deal, Rod was heading out to deliver the 47 truck cab, for the ramp truck , but turned around after almost sliding of the road a few times, said he would try in a week or so, my yard is white with snow again, F**king winter just won't quit!!!!, I'm bringing the grille piece to work tomorrow, Brian's going to start lettering it at lunch, then come out to the house this weekend? and do the body, Had to put the weedburners on the motor so I didn't burn the paint off the body running it, made some piece's to add to the firewall to latch the body down in front,,,Tim Jones

Still waiting to get the body lettered, But we got alot done on the blower setup for the other motor,, Garrett got the last of the machineing done to the crankshaft hub , then cut the key ways and taped the bolt holes for the blower pulley, after that he chucked it all up on the lathe to check the runout ,or trueness, Thanks to Roseville Carl for the plans to build the hub, And after our talk the other day we double keyed it,,,,, then onto the front cover,,,, Tim Jones

After finishing the hub, we modfied the front cover to drive the fuel pump, these plans came from Kjell (fenderless) We took a offy later front cover from speedway, and the pump mount from a milodon cover from the KB motor , machined it to fit the cam center on the offy cover, tigged it on , and were ready to roll,,,, Tim Jones BTW if anyone wants some work done by Garret Day here's his email Gday360@gmail.com he said he could have made the pump mount and extention himself with the measurements from my stuff,,,,,,

here's my last update, finaly came up with a plan to lock the body done in the front, Yeah I know better late than never,, We added a piece to the firewall that has two receivers for a couple pull pins that will be mounted on the chassis, pretty simple design , we'll make the pins later this week,, Plus a pic of the blower setup ,, Tim Jones
