It looks really nice. I would appreciate you sharing the details on mounting the cycle fenders you need to pass inspection.

As well as pictures of the fenders themselves mounted on the car.

I'm sure some others may be interested too if they are well done and give the option of running with them in place or removing them to run fenderless.

  4. I'll post some pics on the fenders/build for sure! :D

Thanks, sometimes those details are left out. I have looked at sources you suggested for cycle fenders, but so far have not found much.

A concern on using motorcycle fenders would seem to me to be whether or not they would work with the diameter of say a 29.5 " tall rear tire.

    My rear tires are 255-70/15.

And the smaller front diameter tires will need a different fender diameter as well.

Just when I thought I'd seen all of the best roadster build threads, I find this. Great work!

What did you tie the interior tubing into, the sub rails? I couldn't quite tell from the picture.

  7. I have this habit of saying that i won't detail it, or make it shiny..but it always turns out the same way? I guess that's the way i like them!
There are a lot of talented builders here on the H.A.M.B. and alot are much more talented than me , but i try my best, and if you like it, hey that's great too! :D

  8. While i borrowed ny son' rollers for the paint shop. He used my wheels & tires,
He will have 16 inch steel rims with Black Wall Coker Bias Ply tires. His tires will be slightly higher & wider on the rear.

Also a custom center console (with two 12volt ports & drink holder) was installed & mounted a 2 speed fan on the passenger side. On the left side below the dash you can see the ignition switch & headlight & foglight pull switches.

  20. Thanks Hackman!:D I really like your chopped T coupe!
Here's a couple more of the roadster. Leaving the doors off while I do the wiring.

  21. Finished the wiring! Bent up a little panel for the ignition switch and light switches. It also has the turn indicator lights.

The roadster doors were left off while until the wiring was finished. (good tip> Since the roadster body was up on jackstands and when wiring you are constantly in & out of the car you don't want to open & close the doors, as they will not align up correctly with the body. Best to leave them off)
Here's a pic with the doors on the roadster now

Very nice, I love them both!! Keep up the great work!

  27. A friend has been helping me with the exhaust. Using 2 inch aluminized straight pipe & some 2 inch 180 degree U Bends. Went with 2 inch as i want the tailpipes to go over the rear axle housing and need the clearance. Using Flowmaster Hushpower HP 2 Shorty stainless mufflers & welded flanges so i can unbolt the tail pipes. Will use 2 inch polished stainless pipe that i had left over from my '27 T for the tailpipe tips. Right now it is tacked, but once it is fully welded & ground I will get the pipe from the exhaust manifold to the muffler ceramic coated in silver.

  28. Thanks 40FordDeluxe! It's kinda cool building two roadsters at the same time!:D

  29. Here are some pictures i took today, very close to firing up!:)
