Art & Inspiration The Photoshop thread to end all Photoshop Threads!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Pair O' Dice, Oct 10, 2008.

  1. Yep... I vote for the straight bar. Still undecided about the grille layout, though. ;)

  2. You Pommie Git! :D

I had a look a couple of days ago, they're gone from that paddock unfortunately I'll keep on hunting anyway.
Last night I realized that I actually have adobe master collection (don't ask me why) on my computer I can't really use any of it! I tooled around with Photoshop a little last night cleaning up the front end a bit.
    What do you think?

That's a damn shame, I hope you let him know how the rest of us feel about him and what he does for everyone.

Thanks much! Looks great! Going to go post it over in my build thread to show off :)

Another guy was kind enough to do a photoshop of the numbers on my car, but I guess it got deleted? Didn't get a chance to thank them...

WOW! I love it! There is a member on here in Austin TX that has been building a 2dr MKII for a while now.
Love those cars and this is heading in the perfect diarection, please keep it going.

  10. I did exactly that...

I also gave him some older brother advice. Grow a thicker skin and suck it up...Not everybody is "nice", best to ignore them...

Bumping this for 36Airflow. I know it's the wrong angle, but can this paint job be adapted/transferred?

Here´s my shot. I like the bumper over riders aligned with the headlights and the small indicators, as per Mk1, but the secondary headlights look too big for the space they occupy, so I swapped them out for 36 Ford horn grilles. You can get a bit of a Delahaye vibe going.

Just so you know, my current '51 Chevy coupe project has been derailed by the birth of my son a year ago combined with a senile senior father-in-law moving in with us, etc. but I am very slowly building the car you rendered for me, using most of the exact same ideas. It might be years before it rolls out of my garage, but eventually it will be on the road and looking just like the picture you created for me, which is on my shop wall for reference.

This [v] will be that. [>]

I know this could be hard but I just keep thinking that my '58 Brookwood would look cleaner without the stainless steel molding that runs from above the rear door handle all the way to the tail lights. I've seen a few '58 Chevys that have had all the shiny bits shaved from the sides but would anybody be able to take only the upper moulding off?

For you highly talented photoshoppers, I would like to see my wagon a few different ways, if possible. I'd like to see lowered down some more (1"-2") with 15" chrome steelies and wide whites, 15" lancer caps and wide whites, and big steelies (18s/20s)with low profile black walls. Thank you in advance!

    Ben

Thanks! The first one is exactly what I was thinking about. To my eyes it looks good, I always felt there is too much going on on the side so I think it's going to look good with 2-tone paint and with only the lower trim as per the first photo.

Ah, I found a different one anyway.
    Here you go...

Lots of work for you making the roof look like this. A lot of reshaping on the C pillars to get a curve into them, although I didn´t chop the front or rear screens - just laid them down a bit. I guess this is something like what you were after?
