A few years back I built a very simple and grungy pre war style 29 roadster with stock running gear and beat around in it all summer. I had a blast in it! That fall I tore it apart and began V8ing it. I worked on it a while, things happened, another car followed me home and my Brother hotrod-40 buys it from me. It was about half done, no engine or trans...kind of a basket case. He ended up buying the 221 out of my 33 pickup last fall...the same engine I had destine for the roadster. It has a Winfield SU-1A cam, thickstun intake and two 81 carbs. Trans in the roadster is a 39 Ford.
Well, he's been plugging away at it, and all week my dad and I helped him thrash on it to get it on the road for a hot rod show in town. We made it...it still needs wiring and a lot of little things, but it is on the road. We went for a spin today, that lil roadster is a blast as always :D Im stoked my Brother got the car, and even more stoked he completed it! He does plan to continue with body work and paint it.

So here it is, and the video is the test drive from Friday night

I'm with 327-365, that's a great jalopy. I envy you guys in the States the way you can get stuff on the road without having to go through all the engineer/registration ********.
But Chris the coils upside down, won't the sparks fall out LOL

Good job swenson family. Corey will be over the top with shiny paint someday. Good to see it on the road.

The radiator/shell is dead nut on with the cowl...he has a hood to go on it.

Hey Chris, thanks for posting that. I'm envious of your brother's ride.
And... it reminds me I've been dragging my *** on my own '29 roadster:D

    Chris,
Great to see the roadster back on the road again. It's got a great 40's style about it.
    *****in.
Can you give us the drill on the column drop? 32-34 truck, or something else?
    Thanks
