Event Coverage Bad Bob's Motorama/ Ink n Iron Pic's-2013!!!!

Once again,I voluntered for the Motorama at the Ink n Iron/Queen Mary show. This is my 8th year!(i think)
Got there early thursday,for move in ,in the Dome.
Everything went pretty well. A few cars were too low to get in the ramp,so we improvised with some concrete wall caps. Took quite a long time,cause guys would show up after the car in front and back were already placed. But,it worked out okay.

This Merc was the only other car in the building when I got there. Stunning! Not a fan of the tilt column or mini-wheel,but I did like how he mounted the mirror on the chrome divider...

Shoebox was nice...side trim from a Mercury and 55-56 Ford. Channeled and sectioned...

 

This car won the big award...better pic's later.

The Roadster looked pretty cool...til he let out the air bags and it looked stupid!

 

Really liked this one! It's one of the cars that was too low to get up the ramp. The pipes were about 2" off the ground. Sounded insane!
It's from Chicago and they told me this was it's first show...One of the guys said they used to be involved with the hunnert car pileup

Great couple owned this '49 Merc. Was in storage for many years....

 

Never thought I would get to see Joe's Coupe in person...Love that chop!!!

This Pick-up is familiar!

 

Steve Carpentars Ford Gasser was CRAZY! The engine sounded perfect...think he won best engine. There was a great cackle-fest going between him and the black 55 Gasser owned by Otto,a HAMBer...

 

Here's Ottos Gasser! It also sounded NASTY!!! Can't remember his HAMB name...It was a piece of shit,when he found it. Amazing transformation...

 

Another 55 Gasser! Owner lives by me and the builder was one cool cat!

 

This Merc was owned by a stunt driver...

Fellow HAMBers Kaiser! Finally got to see it in person...

Rudy,Robert Lomas,and the other two Barons were in attendence...

Rudy won a BADASS trophy from Troy Ladd of Hollywood Hotrods...

 

Thanks bob awesome pictures! I still haven't seen that kosmic outkast truck and I live pretty close to those guys' shop. Things awesome.

These guys are friends with HAMBer Malcom,from Washington...NOT Malcom with the Roadster.

Tom Branch brought his Roadster,but had to leave for his sons Graduation,so I layed his salt for him. Put a hammer in it too! Someone must have thought it was a mistake,and filled it in. So I had to do it again sat morning,haha

The other car is the Hirohata Convertable done by Bill Hines...Even has the glovebox pinstriping and knobs look the same.

 

The guys from Cyclone Coasters brought some amazing bicycles...
