I know the reason....it is the same reason they came to my eyes when I watched it.

Thanks fr posting this! I will add it to my file. Years ago I started making a list of all known Desoto dealerships and I am slowly gathering photos to go with it. The list is now being maintained by the National Desoto Club and can be viewed here http://www.desoto.org/Desoto%20Dealer%20List.pdf
    The building still stands,

Here's one for ya folks . I've been doing a scale model of the "Former " Zeppelin " Diner that was on Flower street at Figioura avenue in Los Angles for nearly a year now . A gentleman e-mailed me this treasure as I'm also going to do the Gilmore gasoline station that was on the adjacent corner .

I had taken a guess as to what was built out back of the "Blimp" structure . Seems as though I was correct . Sometimes I feel as tough I may have lived a second life ........

Looks similar to the JA3 from Bogey's 1950 film Chain Lightning that I just watched on Ted Turners TCM last night:

Sorry. That is a B-29 mothership. The B-50 had taller tail and completely different engines/cowlings.

I am fairly sure that the Zeppelin diner was located at 515 W. Florence Ave., just West of the intersection with Figueroa St. This view appears to be looking W. on Florence. Flower runs parallel to Figueroa. They intersect at one point but not at a right angle.

1965 Impala, looks like gold or Champaine. Had one just like it, even after the wreck.

What's up with that car facing the camera? Looks like possibly a '37 Ford. Strange fenders on the front and if you enlarge the picture it looks like lights and sometime else on the roof.
