G'day all, Have heard a few guys talking about this forum and decided to come and join up myself. I have loved custom cars for years but had never been able to afford one of my own, but over a year ago I had managed to save up enough to buy a 1954 Ford Customline 4 door sedan. The one I got looked pretty cool as it was with a satin black paint job and lots of pinstriping front and rear, she runs a 351 Cleveland with C4 auto which needs some work. Since I bought the car I have had the roof painted candy blue with metal flake and ghost flames, but like most cars I still have a big "to do" list. Cheers Jason
Hopefully this will work: As you can see she sits nice n' low but am thinking of bagging it one day. All the trim is there but the bumpers need some TLC. Thanks for the welcomes too!
That's awesome, love it and welcome. Did you send a photo of it into Street Machine mag's 'Readers Rockets' section a few months back? I seem to recall seeing it in there I think.
Yep, I sure did! had it up at the rod, stock & custom show last Saturday in Bendigo. Don't know if anyone took any pics of it though.
Greetings Jason from the west coast of Florida. Cool looking ride and I love the pinstripping it looks really "Old Skool" Best Regards Jimbo
I only went on the Saturday and stayed for most of the day, but quite a lot of cool rides to see. And always good to see tyres being flayed on the go to whoa track. Hopefully the rod, stock & custom show will get bigger each year, will be going for the whole weekend next year.
Seemed pretty good to me, though the only other time I had gone to this show was in 2011 went it rained the whole weekend. And to everyone else, cheers for the warm welcomes!
Thanks mate, had an old guy come up to me at a show and tell me the same thing, that his was a 4 door just like mine and how roomy the back seat was. He then went on to describe how he lost his virginity on that back seat to his future wife who was still with him!
