THat 35 with the 34 grille could have been built in South America. They kept building these body styles way after up here. A friend brought two or three 34 tudor sedans up, they had filled roofs, from the factory. Never built like that here. Thing is, he had to only send the bodies up as they would not let the complete car out of the country. Brasile I think it was.
Mmm,interesting to know...here in Mexico and specifically here in DF (Mexico City aka Federal District) Ford had factorys since the 30s ,perhaps from the late 20s..i have to scarf out a book about the Ford in Mexico and the 32s were sold new here in the showrooms..the same US version,without filled roofs..just like the US version. The car companys have different strategys on what variations in each different country..also Scandinavia had Ford factorys sinnce the 30s and South America too

Something that is mexican made here,a Dinalpine coupe wich is starting to get some serious recognition among Renault fans worldwide Built in France ,Mexico and i think Bulgaria in small numbers these are some cool peppy sport cars that are capable of some serious fun very hard to come by since collectors worldwide really want em and they are exported quickly from Mexico these days ,when you can find one
Some people are just plain dreamers...i knew of this 59 Caddy convertible of some years already but i just finally managed to see in person recently anyway,a middle age guy is the owner but after meeting him i realized that was no way to get a sort of a deal with him,guy is sick..the place you see the Caddy here is his garden,well,more like an old junkyard with lots of trash everywhere..the house inside is even worse,and the guy was just dreaming of fixin it...i dont think in 5 or more years the guy has even moved a single thing around the car..what a shame!!!
The Caddy is truly sad but it fits the theme of this thread more than anything I think I've seen so far.

Off topic car but its quite hard to find a 70 Challenger R/T big block in Mexico ,so i'll show it anyway Been to check out recently a new area in los Altos de Jalisco and heard about this one from scouting around with mutual friends so when the opportunity came up to open the door it was quickly taken... original faded paint,i think its Sublime Green,all white stock interior,383 BB,Automatic...very clean body lines,car is sitting since many years waitin for the owner to raise some funds to completely restore it but he had no luck yet..but good to know its still in one piece and pretty much loved! Factory A/C too One day man,one day!!
Sled, The color of the 1970 Dodge Challenger is known as "Lime Light". Let me know if that one ever comes up for sale.

Gtolarry,this detail has been discussed several times on here..no reimport duties for you US guys to rempatriate US cars from Mexico back to the States..or very little ones,couple hundred dollars at most Prices changes all the time on comparison,impossible to make an example but some good deals can be had here..model As are usually too expensive in Mexico,people here has sentimental values and über evaluates prices compared to the market ..but sometimes great solid cars can b found at reasonable cost make it worth it to buy...it changes car by car really
Sled, I know what you mean. We have a lot of those dreamers here in Canada too! Won't sell their car because "someday" they are going to do something with it.
I do live between DF (Mexico City ) and Guadalajara,i jump in and out depending whats going on mostly... But i do travel also anywhere i have a lead or a sure hint of something interesting to check out in person,no matter where ... Too bad some areas are too hot or off limits to be safe ,but some areas are not worth it since there is really not much stuff there...depends on many factors ...Mexico is quite big ,so there is always something comin up
Ahh,the Orbitron was too far north for me to see it..so Michael was lucky on that one and honestly he finds stuff around here way earlier than me,so hey..he deseved it really!! After so long time just sitting outside the Orbitron could have been scrapped so many times ,think abuot it ...at list a happy ending on that one!!Micheal was the right guy to save that historical car As for more ,no show rods known ,mind you very few arrived down here but i still know a nice running 32 roadster wich has been built in California in the late 40s or early 50s...this one arrived in Mexico in the early 50s,i think 53/54 ..the current owner,in his 70s will not part with it,yet!!!
ss34,i feel that there are way more of these dreamers up there in the States and Canada...i used to travel quite a lot in the States and had similar experiences ...very long distances to cover a car or a bike,just to find a nope after all ... once a guy told me on the phone the car had no rust,at all...yeah,after driving 600 or so miles with the car in front of me sure,it had no rust cause the mothercrocker cutted most of the body panels on the other side (of course not shown on pics)...he did not lie,but what da F....
